About me

I am a private tutor with over sixteen years’ teaching experience. I have a degree in French and Linguistics from St John’s College, Oxford and a PGCE from Durham. As well as teaching French, I am happy to provide tuition in English and will consider delivering several other subjects to GCSE. I have extensive experience of working with sixth formers on their UCAS personal statements and can provide guidance on content and expression. I am also a freelance proofreader and copy-editor, working on screen, on paper, blind or against copy. I have edited The 3Rs, the magazine of West Buckland School, since 2005, and am an associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP). Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
